Delegates
Each AMTA Chapter has representation at the National level. These representatives are called Chapter Delegates. They meet once a year at the House of Delegates (HOD) to vote on Position Statements and make recommendations to the National Board of Directors regarding how our Professional organization is run. Delegates may also submit Position Statements or Recommendations for consideration by the HOD. The Georgia Chapter Delegates are also asked to participate on the Membership Committee and help with volunteer development.
The Georgia Chapter elects the Delegates at our February Annual meeting and they serve for the fiscal year following the elections. Any Professional member can run for Chapter Delegate as long as he or she does not hold a National position. This is a great entry level volunteer position.
